When trying to change sound volume on a four unit PS2 lash-up only the lead engine responds to the change, they are all in the same block and same TIU port, no other engines in that block. This happens anywhere on the layout. what should I check for?

I believe that someone hides under the layout and changes things to keep us guessing? 
What else could get these results???? Look under the layout for these gremlins!
(Maybe the competition is writing the software nowadays?)
In a lashup the first engine has all the sounds etc. If you want to have the trailing engines to have sound, place the trailing engines in the active area, address them and go to the sound menu items and add the sounds you want to those trailing engines. Then readdress the MU and select the first softkey to save the lashup (MU) settings. That should make the sounds come from the engines you want.
