Just wondering if the Southwest O Scale Meet in Ft Worth is worth going to?
I have never heard much about this show.

Yes for me. Relatively small show and for me worth the trip from Austin to Fort Worth if for no other reason than to see the two Mike's layouts which are outstanding.
Based on the photos from the last couple of shows, I'd make the trip from Houston. Now all I have to do is get moved down to Houston before the show. Working on it.
Off topic but yeah Matt and you could then also attend the National Narrow Gauge Convention in Houston coming up in September.
Back on topic. The smaller shows like SW O Scale offer a really good opportunity for interacting with the top notch modelers attending and being featured.
Its small, but worthwhile for me to drive up to from Houston. I really enjoy meeting the core of 2-rail guys there each time.
I went last year and will go this year.

Funny you mention the smaller shows. I went to one in Missouri City a few months back and though I was one of two O scalers there, I did get to meet some very good modelers and attend a couple of very informative clinics. I definitely don't count out smaller shows.
I attended in 2013 and had a great time and plan on attending again this year; having lived in the area for decades I have a lot of friends there that I like to catch up with but the show has always been worth attending, good clinics, presentations, layout visits and sales tables, not a big show but always have a good time.
I will support this show again this year by having a couple of tables so I can continue to thin my collection of Atlas locos. Since 3rd Rail continues to announce great diesels I can sell off the China drive units.
It is a great but smaller size show. I have attended the last two years.
Here is some info on the show.

What I like from the pictures above is seeing numerous blue boxes! Now the question is are there deals to be found or are vendors expecting full retail?

Like most meets, the answer is yes. Some want full retail and others are willing to deal so they don't have to bring it back home.
It is a great but smaller size show. I have attended the last two years.
