I have already posted this on the Thread "Lets talk about cleaning the track", then it was suggested to me to also create a new post.

Just sharing an idea.

I have taken some windshield cleaning tools as used in gasoline stations and cut them down to a 4 inch width in the center, this required having to use two small screws and nuts to fasten the ends. I must say they work great and allow you to use the CLEANER OF YOUR CHOICE applied to the sponge for cleaning purposes. I have left the nylon netting to achieve a scrubbing action, as a bug on a windshield. just great for hard to reach areas.

Here are a couple of photo's, Regards, Casey.

Not on my layout.

That's good, but that also begs the question: do you HAVE scenery, such as station platforms, street crossings, etc.?

Yes. I keep the sponge area on the top of the rails. I would guess you could make the sponge smaller for tighter area's or for smaller gauge tracks.

Note: I am not trying to sell this, I am only trying to share an idea that works for me and my situation. You may have to make adjustments for different situations.

Regards, Casey.
