Here are a couple of layouts shown in the Lionel magazine that I would love to create.

 

Did anyone else try these in RRTrack?

 

From what I can tell, they don't fit as shown.  Maybe they could be bent/fudged to work, but for either them to work smoothly, you'd need to cut several "fitters".

 

Not a big deal, I just don't get why flawed are published instead of showing it properly.

I'm a member of the NYRRE. Monthly meetings are held in the Williamson Library in Grand Central Terminal. The NYRRE's impressive collection, including the carpet, is maintained in that location so joining the organziation will give you the opportunity to drool on it once a month.
