Loaned my engine instruction manuals file to a friend who is now out of town when I need the file.  I know some of my non-Lionel TMCC engines have selectable speed step settings, 32 or 100 etc.  Need to know what 5he keystroke sequences are for toggling between available ranges.  Anybody know?

I have a K-Line Mikado with factory TMCC. I added cruise using ERR comander I purchsed from Boxcar Bill. Everything works fine but it is at 32 speed steps.

I tried the ALT 1-Dir-Alt1-Dir-Boost. It does not change it to the 128 steps.

I am using a Cab2 controller to do this. Track is powered and engine is powered on sitting still while I do this.

Any help appreciated.

Yep, you are running in relative mode with R100, so the TMCC absolute step direction switch with the throttle knob doesn't work.

One other thing you'll notice is that the speed graph doesn't always stay synchronized with the actual locomotive speed as well.  It's pretty good, but not always right on the mark.  This is due to the fact that you're using relative steps, and if you miss one or two throttling up or down, you're out of sync with the display.  When you come to a stop or change directions, the display synchronizes with the speed again.

Another thing you will lose is the ability for the brake feature to stop and stay stopped, as soon as you let go, it'll resume the previous speed.  A trick I use is to flip the throttle knob after stopping, then the new speed sticks.
