Does anyone know if using the sponsor banners to go to a sponsors website is any different than just going there without using the banner. I've been checking here off and on for a couple of hours looking for a sponsor to buy from but the banner eludes me.

I always prefer to use the OGR Forum Sponsor Index, and then click on the Sponsor/Advertiser I want. They are all in alphabetical order.
If you click the banner, that click is reported to the sponsor as an OGR Forum visitor. That helps support the forum.
If you go there directly, it's the same web site, but nothing gets reports to the sponsor.
You can always go to Sponsor Index thread and find the text link there. That thread is found among the Featured Topics at the top of every forum.
Thanks I found it. Can't tell you how many times I've sat here waiting for a banner to appear.
Sponsor Index is the only way to go for me too. Much easier to find things and I have discovered a couple that I didn't know were there from watching the banners. Must remember to link from here though, I slip up on that one sometimes...
