For the L&N Historical Society's convention this past weekend, TVRM's ex-Southern 4501 was disguised as L&N 1593 with an L&N headlight, whistle and vinyl overlays.
Looks pretty good.
Now that the convention's over, she'll go back to being SRR 4501.

VERY NICE! The 4501 is, and shall remain, the GRANDE DAME of restored steam engines, thanks to the late Bob Soule and Paul Merriman, along with the ample assistance and enthusiasm of the late, great W. Graham Claytor, Jr.
611 may be the Queen of Steam, but 4501 and 765 are for sure the most beautiful locos Running today!
Interesting a one time competitor in Louisville and Kentucky stood in for the other. In my childhood l lived along each for a period, and have ancestors that worked for each (L&N and Southern).
