Greetings forum members, simply put will a standard light bulb that goes in a diesel or steam locomotive work if running on dcc current.......I really no nothing about it other than you need a controller to operate the sounds from the decoder.....

DCC is a control system for operating trains.
Your trains and bulbs get standard AC voltage from the track.

Actually, I suspect the bulbs are really getting their power from the decoder, and it's not track voltage.
John, if you have a passenger car that just comes with standard lights will they power up from the track
He did talk about a diesel of steam locomotive, so one has to assume he's talking about headlights or similar, right?
