Years ago when I traveled for business, I was working in Boston with my rep for the area. We happened to drive past the Museum of Science in Boston and there was a steam engine on display, out of doors, in front of the museum building. I'm quite sure that it was a Pacific type but don't remember the railroad or the engine number. For a long time I thought that this might have been the #3713 Boston and Maine Pacific, now at Steamtown but according to their information sheet, that engine came from Nelson Blount's collection at the original Steamtown in Bellows Falls, VT.
So what engine is it that is either in Boston or once was there, that I saw some 35 or 40 years ago? Where is it now and in what kind of shape is it in?
(Inquiring minds want to know!)
