Steam Loco Runs Fine but lost all its sound

I have a Lion Chief Plus 2-8-2 Mikado that runs fine but lost all sound. Control switches are all in the normal positions for sound. Anyone have any ideas?

Top suspect is the drawbar connections between the locomotive and the tender. The speaker is in the tender, the sound comes from the locomotive. That's where I'd start.
