Steam's Camelot by Jim Wrinn (current Editor in Chief of TRAINS) is a very complete history of the greatest steam excursion program east of the Mississippi. It is replete with photos of every engine fielded by Southern and NS. Contains many interviews with the key players. The sheer variety of engines utilized in this program is still unparalled. My wife and I rode these marvelous excursions between the years 1974-1994 behind every engine, including NKP 765. I highly recommend this TLC hardbound edition for a nostalgic and inciteful look at a very successful mainline steam program! NOTE: My personal copy contains signatures of most of the key players next to their photos. Jim had arranged for a book signing at the museum at Spenser, NC shortly after its publication, and many of the steam program folks were in attendance.
