keep your eye out on ebay and craigslist..on the r/c boat site i belong to..guys get the boats stolen and they pop up on ebay and craigslist..

Sorry to hear about your loss, Roger.  I'll watch out for your engine.  Can you believe I was set up at a TCA train show here in MA earlier this month and I had two separate thefts within a half hour of each other?  Both items stolen were marked $12 a piece.  That's right, $12!!  Meanwhile, I had several $300+ engines on my tables.  I told my 8 1/2 yr.-old son, who was with me at the show, if someone needed a $12 item that badly they should have just asked and I would have given it to him/her!  Never ever thought I would have to worry about items being stolen at a small TCA show!

if it's at a good price nobody will say any thing.that's just my 2cents snow plow and traction tires real sorry for the loss

This is real bad. I always feel sorry when I walk into a new store and the owner doesn't know to trust me. I go out of my way to be respectfull. I've been to shows where people grab stuff and even though they don't steal it, they paw it up so bad, I wonder why.

My parents taught me when I was a child not to touch anything that's not mine. So the stealing of this is just plain disturbing. It's not like a Walmart or huge chain that can absorb anything like this, not that that's any better.

Wow, that's a beauty too. I wonder if the scum bag is into trains?

I agree with acid... If they're going to sell it on ebay or craigslist, they're probably not going to know who the manufacturer is, scale, what the road name means or that's expensive... So I'd look for generic postings of a train from someone that doesn't have any other trains to sell, starting low and rather vague descriptions and low-res pics.

Good luck and I'm sorry to hear about this.
