Hi the edudenator,
Forgive the long list, but I find there's something in every one of these books. There's more but this is enough.

Check out Amazon. They will have a lot of these books. Don't be afraid to buy used books. One out of 100 will be in bad shape, but it's worth not buying new.
If any questions, email me (my address is in my profile).

Wow!
Yes I saw most of those books.
I was hoping to whittle the list down some.
I am looking for info on track accessories and blocks

Corvette's suggestion of "Wiring Your Toy Train Layout" First Edition" by Peter Riddle should have all you need. I used it when wiring my current layout, which I wired for blocks.
The three Peter H. Riddle books (Primer, Intermediate, and Advanced) are like a bible for beginners. Try them first.
Hi pennsyk4,
I just got this one and am about 1/3 through it. Good choice.

I think Eddie makes a good point. One of the valuable things about this forum is that we get checks and balances on the advice.
While the ring connector for fastrack looks like a lousy idea, especially considering the availability of the correct size female blade connector, I've used 1/4" male blade connectors bent to a right angle instead of lockons in tube track for several years now. Never had one budge. They require a lot of force to remove.
