Suggestions 4 diesel sheds?

Or,  Bridgeboss.com,   Mr. James Robinson, who has helped a bunch of folks

on this forum,  did 2 girder bridges for me.  He also has  Alan Arnold's  (Leavingtracks)

sheds on his home page -  you will be astounded !!  and or overwhelmed!!

Check out Crescent Locomotive Works.  They don't have pictures on their website yet, but they had nice samples of a roundhouse and a diesel shed on display at York.

Pecos River Brass still sells the modular building kits which include single and double stall diesel sheds like the below.

 

You can easily modify them with the parts supplied or with addition parts you purchase.  Depending on the era you are modelling he also has a line of tilt-up buildings.

Thx for the info....I ALSO see that Lionel makes an ENGINE HOUSE [6-24296 in 2010, V 2 catalog]    Is this pretty good?  Does MTH sell one?

Here is a scratchbuilt 4 stall diesel engine house/service building. Two identical sections were built which can be set end-to-end.  The center 2 bays are through tracks. The outer bays are stub ended. The buildings have interior lighting.

 

This O scale model is a scale 100 feet wide by 80 feet long by 44 feet in height.  When placed end to end the two sections are 160 scale feet in length.

Further about the diesel building:

 

The building was made from styrofoam board and poplar wood strips.  It is very sturdy.  The roof is removable for detailing the interior. It is held together with wood screws and the walls and roof can be easily dis-assembled into sections for storage purposes.

 

The interior is detailed and painted with prototype wall and roof bracing. The end and side doors (not shown) are roll-up style.

Atlas O makes the IHC 2 Stall Enigne shed. You Don't have to assemble all the walls if length of space is in question.

 

 

 

 

Also MTH railking line sells Single bay and two bay enginehouses/car repair shops that come with small cranes on the inside.

You can kitbash your own from Pecos River Brass modular kits. The sell a 2 stall diesel shed as well, I just added to it. 

 

 

I extended the length and made it a 3 stall with 2 stalls going through, and 1 closed in.

The engine house pennsyk4 mentioned is for sale now on E-bay. $175. don
