I have a couple gray flats with my  Mr Softee ice cream trucks  as loads and a gray ATSF caboose

this will be pulling...

The company came from New Jersey .. and was thinking that I go with Jersey Central

But when I showed one train guy . He thought the L&N decals would go better

Or should I go with the ATSF because of the caboose...  (!?)

because of the gray / slate paint colors... I know I can use anything I want

but thought I ask what your thoughts of when you see the engine ,what you would think

It reminded you of . and which decals to put on

thanks for your thoughts... daniel  PS . the above pictures are when I just pulled the tape off..

Daniel, I'm painting three 200 series ALCO's.  My railroad colors are dark green and yellow.  I slipped my shells in the dishwasher last night.  I will paint the top of the shell, in front of the windshields, flat black to reduce glare for the crew.  I now need a 70+ degree day to begin painting.  I'll follow your progress here.

Heres a tip that worked for me ...I use my floor forced air  to help dry the paint after I spray

I use scotch  wide magic tape.. (the 3/4 inch frosted on)

paint the whole shell  solid my case above was light gray  then mask

with the tape for me 24 hr wait.. before I use the tape

tape the day you paint the second color

figure what you want

Most important part spray @20 inches away! light coat!

so "light" bring by forced air for 3 min it will be dry! keep repeating took me @7 times to get the  coverage

wait @12 min remove the  tape  slowly  and smoothly.

many have done it that works for them, this happened to work for me..

bottom pictures  are my first try rejuvenating  ab B&M's  the a unit was a 205 that has original  bottom paint conrail blue in the center and new decals that mimic the b units location  plus it has a blue strip on the roof line instead of white (this unit has a motor in the b I added... hope this helps  ...daniel
