If we have visitors from away, it must be summer in Maine. We just had a great visit with our friends Don & Bette. We only see them 2 or 3 times a year (York, mostly), and we always look forward to their visits. They saw a lot of progress in our train room since last year. The walls are full of trains, the benchwork is up, and we can run trains. Last year, there was no benchwork and Don helped me hang the first 2 rows of aluminum shelves. On this year's visit, Don bought a Lionel #6 steamer, something he's wanted for a long time. She has sat idle for at least 20 years, but with a little lube on the gears and some gentle coaxing, she was off and running.
