Just received my Sunset 3rd Rail PRR Postwar L1s Mikado and boy is it a beauty.  I had really been looking forward to this locomotive and all I can say is wow!  The fit and finish is beautiful.  Tonight I'll put #4188 on the rails and hopefully be able to get a little video.  I'm really impressed with the overall detail and appearance of this classic PRR locomotive!  Thanks 3rd Rail!  Bo

Very nice model of an L1s from 3rd Rail. Thanks for posting pictures.

I believe there is a Mikado at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania, Strasburg, PA  There is also a M1b at the Railroad Museum of PA.  Noted differences are size, tender and the pilot trucks.
Pennsylvania Railroad  No. 520 Baldwin 1916  L1s  2-8-2 Mikado
Pennsylvania Railroad  No. 6755 Juniata shops M1b 4-8-2 Mountain

Much older Weaver offering that has been upgraded to EOB drive system and sound, the Mikado is second on the turntable after the H10 Consolidation.  Click to access a video.
