Been looking to buy a brass 4-6-2 pacific steam engine. Any feed back on the Sunset? Will it run on 054 curves? I have also been looking at Weaver and Williams. Any information is appreciated. Don

What railroad prototype?
Well, that depends....to which locos are you referring?
...also, all this info is (usually easily) available, in one format or another, from the manufacturers, importers, available items on eBay (typically in the description of box-end photo), active websites (MTH; Lionel; Atlas).
The only answer based on the question is: some will; some won't.
I too am interested in a brass steam engine from Sunset. So far the ones I have seen run on a minimum of 054. If it is a new engine, it should be easy to find out like @D500 said from the Mfg or the seller. If it is used I would email Sunset and give them the engine specs and I bet they will respond/help. I wouldn't be surprised if Scott didn't chime in and respond to this thread if he sees it.
I have been researching Sunset also and have read many good things...and a few not so good, but most are favorable. I have also heard Sunset's customer service is top notch. I hope to find one soon also...New ones are easy to come by on ebay, but I prefer slightly used where someone else paid for the depreciation!
You should look at the MTH version in person, if you haven't. The detailing is very good.

I can take some better pictures if you wish. There are many add on brass details that surprised me.
