Great news from Scott!

Amfleet cars have been the backbone of Amtrak’s fleet continuously since 1975.         Based on the same basic design as Budd’s Metroliners, Amfleet cars are rated at 125 mph and are still in service all over the country.         Purchased in two phases, Golden Gate Depot is proud to offer the Amfleet I cars in 4 paint schemes, Phase I through Phase IV at scale length with all the correct detailing you have come to expect from GGD. 5 Cars: Cafe, Dinette, Club and 2 Coaches.
Extra Coaches, Cafe Cars Available Separetly (4 Extra Coach Car Numbers, 2 Extra Cafe Numbers Available) We don't ship duplicate numbers to the same customer.

Considering these are being offered by Golden Gate Depot, I wouldn't expect to see them on the Sunset website.

Well now, maybe you should:

Golden Gate Depot (GGD) was founded in 1988 to import fine scale models from various builders in Korea and China. Since 2009 GGD has been supported and operated by Sunset Models Inc. If you know the folks from Sunset, you are dealing with the same people. Sunset Models handles the brass models, GGD plastic and Aluminum cars.

Well now, no I shouldn't.  They are separate companies with separate web sites.

Not opinion, fact.

The last time I talked to Scott about the Amfleet cars he was getting a good response. Amfleet I orders will be a big factor in whether to do Amfleet II cars.  Hopefully Viewliners  will follow.  Yesterday the Crescent was late so I got to see it with it's combination of Amfleet cars, Viewliner Sleepers, Viewliner Baggage and Viewliner Diner.  The first time I personally saw a Crescent with no Heritage cars, baggage or diner.
