If the drive belt skips over the teeth on the toothed pulleys it might sound like a click. A potential cause of drive belt skip is inadequate tension on belt. Less likely would be a damaged or stretched drive belt. If the click occurs only on curves one possibility is that a U joint is making contact with the ends of the fuel tank. Running the unit with the body off on a roller stand might help isolate the source of the noise.
