 It's #SwitcherSaturday time!!!!

Lots of us out there love switchers (shifters, docksiders, yard goats, critters, etc.), so lets keep #SwitcherSaturday (a.k.a. SWSAT) rolling!

If you missed last week's SWSAT you should really go take a look, it was a ton of fun!

Mornin' switcher crazies!  Been really busy with other interests of late, so not much has been happening in my miniature diesel world, so no model pictures. HOWEVER...

I've got some protopics I can slap into these here SWSAT threads from time to time, no?

That so... we return to my FAY-vo-rite road fer some protopics of what may be my FAY-vo-rite switcher, the venerable Baldwin VO1000.

First up, just a typical work-a-day pic of a Frisco VO in the full stripe scheme sometime in either the late 50's or early 60's at Springfield, MO...

Next is Frisco 236 sitting at Kansas City, MO on 3/19/67 . It's wearing the "Simplified" stripe scheme the Frisco started using in either the late 50's or very early 60's.

Lastly for this post, here's the redoubtable #213 working at Fort Smith, AR in the early 60's. Factoid: I run Alco's over those same rails on a daily basis! (Well, not really the very same rails, the rails have been replaced/realigned several times since!)

All fer now! Enjoy the weekend!

Top of the afternoon SWSAT friends!  Great pics guys!!  Here on the Free State Junction Railway the fire dept was called due to a small fire in the engine compartment of the WM BL2 number 81.   Looks the engineer extinguished the  blaze just as the fire dept got its hose stretched out.  It's good to have the BL2, VO1000, and 0-8-0 back in service after traction tire replacement and removing some grit from the gearing of the BL2 ( not to mention the small fire . Have a wonderfully fun and creative week everyone!! IMG_3652IMG_3653IMG_3646
