Good Morning Switcher Saturday crew.  Once again we gather to give homage to little locomotives that do big things.

In this thread we show some love to Switcher locomotives of all scales and gauges.   From Broad Gauge to Z and everything in between,  with an obvious concentration on 3 rail O gauge.

Everyone be nice, and everyone follows the OGR tos.

Since football is supposed to start next week (I really really hope this actually happens!), this weekend's kick off pictures-pun intended- are staged at the Steeler Station.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Happy SWSat!

A long holiday weekend is ahead. Hope everyone has a good one.

This week the crews are busy swapping out cars for the next outbound local. A colorful blue and yellow consist was built with a little help from NH 9604 (K-line Plymouth) . D&H 5001(Lionel RS-11) will be on the lead out of town.

On the high line NH 115 (WbB Center cab) is pulling a short string of box cars.

Yay! SWSat is on!

I see we are off to a nice start this week. I’m going to add some steam. Here is “Janine” my new to me Ixion Hudswell Clarke inside cylinder saddle tank 0-6-0T. Ixion is an Australian company that makes 2 rail O scale for the British market. It is a model of a 1920 era smaller private industrial or contractor engine as built by Hudswell Clarke. A few have made it into preservation.

So bringing in bit of an international flavor today. It is on my 2 rail O scale shelf layout Sorry for the mess I don’t know what was happening on the back track some kind of vertical siding storage I guess. The other engine seen is my SDJR #23 3T Jinty a much larger side tank 0-6-0T from Dapol. It just looks smaller because it is further back on the next track over.

Have a great weekend. I can’t wait to see what you guys post.

What would Labor Day be without the little engines that do all the "real work"?  :-)

The guys running the NYC dockside switchers at the RiCHY (Richmond Chesapeake Hudson Yard & RR) love when they work in the back section of the yard, because they get to catch up with the hobos that hang out at the old platform unloading shed.

Hello SwSat Fans...my theme today is..."BEEP's At Work".  Featuring my RMT lineup in support of the Defense Dept.  It's the 1950's on the Leonardtown and Savannah and those pesky commies can't be trusted...but we are 'gonna be ready for 'um!

Here comes the Air Force, moving up those air defense missiles for the missile base just outside of Small town

Beep AF with Rockets

Next up is the Navy, bringing in reconnaissance and gunfire spotting support for the Fleet sitting just offshore.

Beep Navy with aircraft

Finally, the Pennsylvania RR, "Standard of the World", is bringing up supplies and logistics.

Beep PRR with supplies

Thank goodness, its just a Reserve Weekend and a training exercise...but in these days (1950's), you never know!

Best wishes for a great weekend, stay healthy

Don
