I don't really know enough about tank cars to be sure about the terminology.  I want to build something for my tank cars in an area without much width.   I have enough track for about 4 cars.  I am picturing something with two or three tanks along the track and maybe some fencing around it to give it some definition.  Anyone build something similar or have something I could sneak a peak at?

I remember something similar in downtown columbus, GA but I can't remember it well enough to model it.

Sometimes tank car bodies were placed on raised piers to serve as tanks for oil or gasoline. Fuel was pumped in and left the tanks by gravity, like early gasoline pumps.

A while back someone posted a photo of Santa Fe Warbonnet F-units or E-units taking fuel from trackside tank cars. That could work on a track next to the main.
