I'm probable missing seeing these. To be honest, most my purchases are from online dealers or E-Bay. No close Hobby Shops, not many train shows around.

Needing a couple of the small in scale riveted Tank cars as were used during the 30s and early 40s. These tank cars were also purchased and used in-plant services for hauling waste to boiler houses to burn and fire their boilers. Not having any luck. I've also seen these used, were trucks emptied their haul from the pumps on private land and then taken into the refineries for unloading into larger field tanks. Thanks

Thanks, somehow I didn't look to hard at the Atlas. Got 1, only need 1 more now. (Tank cars are pricey)

Thanks Hot Water.  One of the reasons I have written the O Scale Freight Car Guide series is so I can just refer people to them for frequently asked questions.  Now I don't even have to do the referral!

Way Cool.

The Lionel Standard O and Atlas Master line tank cars are good candidates.  And so are the MTH Rail King and Atlas Industrial rail tanks cars if you are looking for a lower priced model with less detail.  If you look on page 2 of the O scale tank car guide thread Ray Marion converted a Rail King tank car to Kadees.  On the high end San Juan Car now offers a 6000 gallon tank car that could be 3 railed.

Thanks, exactly what I'm looking for. Our plant had 2, we filled them with light ends of styrene, and styrene waste, ( pumps, shafts were lubrication was done using the product leakage). When full, company engine hauled down to Boiler house, unloaded with a slip stream of steam was used to atomize and fuel boilers.
The Tank cars had Built Dates of 1936 and 38 on them. We bought them for 2000.00 each in 1967 and used them in the 2010.

Going to recreate a small portion of this.
