Tanker car repair help needed

Santa fe what brand of tank car is that lionel etc. and item number if u know it. 

Are you sure the CNJ car is supposed to have a platform around the dome? Those cars came both ways, with and without the platform. If you want to put a platform on it, parts should be available from the manufacturer or from parts dealers. It's not a rare part. 

The tanker is a K-line  (K632-1231) CNJ car if that is helpful.

That's a great question, I was wondering about that too.  I really don't know.

We bought it used and that was how it came when we took it out of the box.

Would like to make it look like the rest of the tanker cars we have.

I think its called a platform i seen on that list next to the bottom of the page a plat form with silver railings for tank car. 

The part number is K6300-E002

I like the looks of the tank car without the platform.  That's the way they all looked back in the 50s, the era I like to model.

I either have the 3 dome tank cars without platforms or the single dome tank cars with platform.  Since I am going for a consistent look I will modify this tank car to look like the others.

I have a bunch of them that I removed from my K-Line cars. You can have them for postage. Just let me know how many you want.
