I am running a MTH N&W Class A PS1 locomotive that I converted to TMCC some years ago with a TAS 8&15 amp DC SAW Command and Railsounds 4.0 Conversion Board.  I use MTH DCS version 3.0 to control all my engines.  Top speed of the Class A is reached when 32 speed steps are displayed on my DCS Remote.  I need more speed... after all, this is a fast freight!  Recently I discovered (on an internet search that took my to the DCS Command User's Guide) that DCS Version 4.0 has an AX1 softkey that allows the TAS steep steps to be changed from 32 to 128.  I can't seem to find this feature in DCS Version 3.0.

Can anyone tell me how to increase the TAS speed steps in DCS Version 3.0?

I guess my next step is to try and reset it using the Whistle, Bell, Bell, Bell, Bell, Bell exercise

That's because  it's not there. It was introduced in DCS 4.0.

This and a whole lot more is all in "The DCS O Gauge Companion 2nd Edition", now available for purchase as an eBook or a printed book from MTH's web store site! Click on the link below to go to MTH's web page for the book!
