Happy Monday,
Here's your first hint for the next release. Look for more clues later this week.
Thank You,

Who knows? The Shadow knows...and so does Mark, the Menards Train Guy!
Patriot, so my first thought is New England. Ok, something from/for a New England state.

A Meg Gibson box car?
missile car
My guess is a light fixture store or boxcar. Menards sells “patriot“ brand light fixtures.
It also could be a yard light tower that would be cool
A special menards credit card so we can handle all these new products that they are cranking out one after another. It includes an automatic 10% discount on each purchase for card members.😁
Searchlight Car
Box truck filled with trees! Final answer! LOL
Patriot Lighting Warehouse Background Building like the recently released M&Ms warehouse.
Diesel service facility
Flat car with Patriot missle.
Im going to say something military! Maybe a U.S. Marine car!
In light of Frank's and Bob's posts I would definitely say a Patriot Lighting factory with lighted sign and moving fans.
Patriot Lighting is another brand stocked by Menards. So as Cabinet Bob revealed with the matching logo, I agree that it will likely be a well-lit building model.
The Boston NFL team?
A boxcar or flatcar with a generator?
Was recently trying to find low-profile box-mounted 8 foot LED lights for the basement, remember seeing Patriot Lighting at Menards.
A lighting store with lights hanging in the store and they are lite...............Paul 2
Here are my 3 thoughts:
- small electric substation
- generator car
- building for selling lighting fixtures
It's going to be a Patriot Lighting factory based on one of the existing building.
Menards please do JBHunt O scale containers
Since there is no Menards stores in Virginia. I have to say I have NO IDEA! But! I looked it up in google and came up with this.
I'll agree with Dominic: New England Patriots and other NFL teams.
I agree - a Patriot Lighting building.
A missile launcher on a flatcar?
I don't think this will be a piece of rolling stock, vehicle or even a building/structure because the words 'O Gauge' or 'O Scale' are missing from the title of this thread. It will probably be a Patriot Lighting product that can be used for illuminating a layout.
@cabinet Bob posted:
My money is on the guy with the inside track to Menard's.
Nice video by Train Room Gary. Makes me wish I lived near a Menards. More O gauge than a lot of hobby shops Ive been in.
Light it up: The Patriot Lighting background structure from Menards! Shop now>
Dimensions: 11”W x 2-3/4”D x 9-1/2”H
Patriot Lighting is a major supplier of lights and lighting fixtures to professionals and do-it-yourselfers. Their products include interior and exterior lighting gear and they are a prominent source of solar-powered lights decorating gardens around the country. Patriot Lighting Supply is a fully assembled and decorated low-relief background structure perfect for that spot on the edge of an O gauge railroad, or to fill out a shallow spot in a city scene.
The basics: Patriot Lighting is a compact, but fully detailed facade. The front is 11 inches wide, 9-1/2 inches tall and a mere 2-3/4 inches deep. Although narrow, it has enough weight in the base to stand on its own without screws or glue. The model has 20 LEDs for exterior lighting. Power connections with the Menards 4.5-volt Plug & Play lighting system are on the left side of the building, or through a drop down pigtail connection.
To power the lights, check Menards SKUs 279-4061, 279-4062, or 279-4050. You may wish to consider the 8- or 9-piece Plug & Play accessory kits (SKU# 279-4035, 4681) and to serve multiple structures and vehicles. All are available separately.
Why you need this: The warehouse packs a lot of detail into a small space. The front has vertical slats, suggesting steel construction. The loading dock has a cinder block foundation. Details on the dock include a trash dumpster, a hand truck, a trash can, two workers, and Jack at the ready.
There is a first floor entrance with an awning. There is also a warehouse door. LEDs provide light for security. A stairway leads up to a second story door, which a worker is entering. There are four 8-pane windows on the front of the second level.
Atop the second floor is a cornice. LEDs are positioned behind it. This lights up the company sign above. The third level has two windows bracketing the Patriot Lighting Supply logo. Another cornice crowns that level. Both the right and left sides of the building have a decorative window at the second floor level.
Patriot Lighting offers you an interesting design and credible place to spot a delivery truck or even a boxcar without taking up excessive space. The lighting will make this stand out in your cityscape.
BOW WOW! Greetings Mark, can you say when is Menards going to release a kennel in O gauge to house all the Jacks the guys collect each time they purchase a new structure for their layout and another Jack is included in the deal?
Item: I live across The Big Pond and as a result don't have a Menards anywhere in Europe where I can shop, I'd like to know if Menards sells dog food in their stores? The reason I ask is that several home improvement stores here in Germany do.
Regarding the Neat Release of Patroit Lighting: Truly a Bright Idea if there ever was one!
...and yes folks, I spelled Neat properly...never intended to say Next...LOL
I really like these new building front type structures from Menards. Perfect for a spot on your layout if you don’t have the Real estate for a large building!
Menards has a large selection of dog and cat food as well as assorted pet supplies.
In addition to everything it takes to build and maintain a house they also sell groceries, clothes (mainly work wear),and around Christmas they even have a toy department.
If every other store in my area was closed but the Menards was fully stocked I could survive quite nicely.
I joke with my wife "If they had a restaurant, I would never leave!".
Another well needed and diverse product. Thank you.
I have the perfect corner for this building. Thanks again to Menards for what looks to be another homerun.
James
This looks great! @Menards Are the windows translucent? I’d want to add some LEDs to light up the windows if they are.
