I totally agree Skip. What an awesome day. Amazing food and wonderful friendship. Thank you.
Dotty and I had a great time. We will put up some pictures Sunday. Alex and Dina always go the extra yard and put on a first class day. This year we took my Grandson Dean who was visiting me. He had a great time and was very happy to meet some of our great friends. He is a huge eggplant parm fan and Dina is now on the top of his list as the best cook ever.
Thank you Alex and Dina for the great hospitality I cant believe I got there so early I had to drag Alex out of the shower

Thank you Alex & Dina. You two are the best.
Alex/Dina,
Thank you very much for taking the time to put on such a great party. I am so glad you do this every year. I had a great time meeting everyone there. I am looking forward to next years event.

Ben,
I didn't know you were still there for the Alex shower photo. I would love to see Alex's reaction when he sees this. You may be ban from future parties.
Thank you for a wonderful, relaxing afternoon. So much food, even more desserts! Hard to push back from the table with such a nice spread. And then you add some of the nicest train people in the world and you have a really terrific event. Many, many thanks.
Thanks Guys, it was a great day with no pilferage

Not true I pilfered some of that Peanut Butter fudge and one of those chocolate cupcakes with the M&M's on top
Thanks Alex and Dina for a great day. The food was great and so was the company.

Good food and good company made for a great day. Thanks Alex and Dina. Oh, and Alex, please get your shower done earlier next time.

those were the BEST cupcakes ever! how about the one with the candy bar inside.
Alright Alright !!!!!! first of all since my very old shower picture is on the forum, i must tell the real story. By the way a BIG THANK YOU TO BEN, for posting this picture.
That picture is almost 4 years old i was totally out of shape, and my lovely wife Dina has a habit of sneaking into the bathroom when I'm in the shower. If necessary i can post a recent picture that my lovely wife took while i was in the shower, and you will see a huge difference LOL!!! This picture was taken while we were on a cruise to Bermuda, so needless to say no matter where we are i have to block the bathroom door so my lovely wife can't get in. Locking the bathroom door is useless, remember we are from New York we know how to get past any type of lock LOL !!!!!!
Now back to the party, it was a huge success, a fantastic day with beautiful friends.
What more can we ask for. There's tons of pictures we will post and share with all of you
later on.
Thanks very much,
Alex & Dina
Great day, and Alex has the beginnings of another great layout, looking forward to next year. The food was magnificent, and I'm sure pounds were added yesterday to a lot of attendees.

I can only echo what everybody else has said above...what great hosts which made a great day to be with friends, five star food, and oh yes, trains. John Will showed that he has quicker and faster hands than any Jets receiver (yes he does Ted!). This was Geri and my first visit to this open house and it lived up to everything everybody has said about it over the years. Hopefully some of the pictures I took will show up here.

Yeah you were so out of shape You still weighed less than my left leg
Glad everyone had fun. One of the events that I really miss since I moved to Florida.
Great party, great people and a great time. Probably as much automotive knowledge there as train knowledge. Some real gearheads.
Alex's new layout is off to a great start and I expect a spectacular layout. My guess is that the next addition is plexiglass for the edges. Not everyone has Gunrunner John's cat like reflexes.
Sue and I had a great time and thank Alex & Dina for having us.

Not everyone gets their elbow in the way of the BB to require fast reflexes.
Looks like it was a great open house!! Thanks for the photos Alex and John! At first I thought all I was going to see was food!! I do see several familiar faces!
Sorry I missed all the fun. A friend who had major complications from two hip surgeries, an infection and a third surgery, had wanted to come over to see my suspended out door layout for months, and was finally recovered enough to make it on Saturday. It was a mini open house if you will, so next year Theresa and I will have to make it part of our summer schedule to attend the fifth annual event.
Don
Ann and I enjoyed another Alex & Dina train and food fest. We always enjoy just siting and talking to everyone, the conversations aren't all train related:-)
I gained a few pounds and didn'thave room for the the chocolate cream pie or the Oreo cake. Might have had a cupcake if Ben hadn't "pilferred" them.
BTW we didn't run into Vinnie in Seadide Hrights.
Wait, it was THIS weekend? Oh well, perhaps next time.
Looks like everyone had a good time with trains and good company. Sorry I missed this great event this year. We had a number o for options this year we stayed home and rested up for a busy week ahead.
Thanks for the pics folks.

Your 'jungle-cat-like-moves' saved the day!
Seems only fair since my stupidity almost caused a really bad day!
Looks like a great time was had by all. You East coast guys have all the fun!
Wish I was closer.
Art
That's what happens to those in the "windy city".
Wow...look at all those completed Ameri-Towne buildings!
I wonder what they are for?
He needs a lot of buildings to fill that empty space!
Alex and Dina,
Great party, great food and great people. It does not get better than that. Thanks for hosting, I know it takes a lot of work.
I also sold a couple of engines to Ben. One of the best days of the year. There's not much more I can say that has not been said, which is tough for a lawyer.
After the party, I got to see my daughter Kristine whom I had not seen in 6 weeks. She really missed me.
Thanks again guys.
Erol
BTW Alex - looks like the layout is coming along great. I wish the east coast was closer to Michigan...
Looks like everyone had a great time! I wish I could have made it this year but hopefully they'll be one next year.

Erol, were those the orange engines that fell in the pool earlier in the day??
Wow...look at all those completed Ameri-Towne buildings!
I wonder what they are for?
I know I know can I tell them!

Rich, Hmmmmm I'm wondering too!!!!
