At the 3rd Rail booth, the GM ToT was on display. It is awesome and they nailed the blue color. In person, the blue is substantially darker than the color that appeared in the recent video Scott Mann posted. This set is an absolute "home run".

Those that ordered this set will be very HAPPY!!!!!!

I really liked this train but was not sure of the overall color or design.  A color photograph would be very nice!

Now I'm really curious about the color, because on my screen the blue already looked quite dark.  Is it a bit like the Columbian blue of the B&O.

My automobile looks black in the LED lighted garage, but metallic blue in the sunlight.  So, of course, lighting is everything.

And what did you think about the interiors.

I'm also interested in the interiors and I trust someone is going to post a few photos.

Good news; glad that it's darker than the video.

Will they be received this month?

I want to be happy TODAY and see a few photos!!!

The paint for the exterior of the ToT was a blue-green DuPont Dulux enamel.  I saw the train at the 3rd Rail/GGD booth, and I believe the color of the model looked blue with some green.  I'm not sure if any photos taken under the Orange Hall lighting will show this very well.  Besides, any photos taken of the train at York and posted here will like get more complaints than praise.

I saw it in person at York.  What a beautiful train set!!!!!

So one will get an E-7 A unit and 4 passenger cars.  All the passenger cars are domes!  Full interiors with a passenger load. One beautiful paint scheme with added on stainless steel fluting.

What ever railroad that one models this train set will fit right in as a GM Demonstrator running as an extra over it showing the world its new, modern features.

The price is right!!!!    I am amazed at the price for what one gets.  I really was impressed with the truck side frames on both the E-7 and the passenger cars.

If you're on the fence about this train set, please do yourself a favor and reserve one for yourself.  You will not be disappointed.

Cant wait to see the UP version its gonna be stupendous!!!!! Not too large a wallet bite considering 4 domes and an E7 A, I could build it and it Might cost about the same. Its my one splurge of the last  2 years, aside  from kits and parts, and from the looks of it money well spent.. Now how about a North Coast Limited so I can go broke happy!!!!

Thanks to Brian for posting the pictures.

You BOTH made a lot of Forum members, that could not attend York, very happy.

I second that; thanks to both the builder and the reporter!

In all the fuss about this set I had completely forgotten that the vista domes are 21" cars . . .
