I had an occasion to speak with Rich Foster about this set at a train show this past weekend. He was unaware of it's significance. He suggested that I get together any info on it and email it to him. He would then pass it on to see it it could be built.
So I ask,if anyone out there has and photos or links,please post them here so that those interested could build their case for this outstanding piece of tinplate with MTH.

Do you mean the top-of-the-line standard gauge set Folb had featured in the TCA Quarterly awhile back (there was also a thread about the set here on OGR shortly after the TCA article appeared)? If so, I think the TCAQ article plus the listing of that set in the Lionel catalog should tell you everything you need to know with respect to contents.
The main distinction is the IVORY window trim, instead of the usual apple green trim, on the four state cars. The 400E loco may have had some special trim as well, but I do not recall. So it would be fairly easy for LCT or MTH Tinplate Traditions to reproduce this set.
If the have not made it by know I doubt they will. It will retail for $2,600. $1000 engine. $400 each cars.
The next set I put together is the 400E with Dark Green 428 cars. That set was nice. Just need the cars. Everything will be repo.
I would like to see the green state cars issued with the ivory trim windows even if NOT as a set.
