My version of the Fernwood, Columbia & Gulf needed a new “small” caboose that would make switching some industries easier. Today their new cab was delivered, an older wood caboose from the NYO&W RR. I was going to repaint it but as of now I will run it as is (since I’m the CEO I can do that). I like short cabooses and this was is surely short! The trucks almost touch each other it is so short!

Could do a patch job. Put a line through the NYO&W and stencil in FC&G down on the bottom somewhere.

It is too nice, I would leave it just as it is. Use the excuse that the FC&G is leasing/borrowing it for a while.
I recently acquired (well, mainly because of the Fox trucks!) Sierra RR #5 a short cabin car and have no plans to do anything to it except, maybe, move the markers to the other end. It and a Bay Line cabin will be used as leased cars when needed.
