Do you want to escape for a 2 day Trolley Meet, September 7th and 8th with all kinds of neat Trolley, Interurbans, Streetcar, and Light Rail "Stuff" at bargain prices?   Well here it comes.  This is the 35th Year and the event was started by Doc Blackburn.  Look up on line Hoosier Traction Meet 2018 and all the information is there you can download/print the application form and send in your money early.  There is a special room at this meet that sells--books, pictures, trinkets, models, etc.

It will be held at the ex-Clarion Waterfront Hotel.  Now the Hotel is simply called The Waterfront Hotel located at 2930 Waterfront Parkway West Drive, Indianapolis, Indiana. -- Phone 317-299-8400.  The meet cost $25 dollars per person for both days and if you wish to take a friend who has not been to this meet before, it will cost $15 dollars for that person if you get your money in early.  Otherwise, at the door the day of the meet the price is $40 per person.  The Waterfront Hotel is $86 dollars per nite plus tax for a two bed very nice room.  The meet is quite educational and you might see some of your Traction friends.  There are many nice restaurants in this area (very close to the Indy Speedway) and the meet most likely will have a throw-out map of the restaurants for you.  Also, the hotel has a continental breakfast which will fill up any hungry guest plus they will have food in there dinning room/bar.  Get your reservation in early to receive the discount price and also make sure you tell the clerk at the Hotel Desk that you are attending the Hoosier Traction Meet to get the special room rate.  Don't wait for the last minute for hotel reservations.

Sincerely yours       railbear601
