This is the first electric train I ever got. My grandfather bought it brand new for me in 1954. It was originally a Lionel #2055 Hudson steam locomotive. I have since had it rebuilt and repainted. It is now the "106" on the Brisbane & Bushong Railroad. Matt

This is the first loco I had. My Dad's pre-War wind up Marx set. I still have it.
Your first loco is pretty special, I think, in every case.
I have a 685 (the "O gauge" equivalent of the 2055) which I don't want to mess with (it's a childhood engine, though not my first). That picture tempts me to pick up a 2055 beater and refinish it. I just hope I could do such a great job.
