I was wondering why these plastic engines couldn't be made with areas of thin walls. I see the thick construction around all the windows and number boards. Why can't the shell be made so the glass pieces for these areas scalloped out on the inside to give the model a better appearance. This would be very hard as a models as results would be uneven or break through the shell. But for the moulding process maybe easy.
