The world of O scale has largely eliminated the manufacturing of tubular track, while the "real world" has seemingly just discovered it. One can imagine someone taking a sledgehammer to set the pins and lock-on.
I thought the title was funny as far as their product brand name "tubular track" and as sectional track with integral ties and rail similar to toy track I wasn't suggesting literal tinplate track and I thought that would be obvious but my tongue was too far into my cheek, aka driving the pins with a sledgehammer.
