It stinks you have no where to let them stretch their legs. 😀
Very nice!
I heard that there was a delay in some passenger cars. I'm still waiting on my Asa Packer set though the stand alone pacifics have been out for a few weeks now. Maybe it was the same with this set?
Something I just noticed. The first passenger car in the consist has maroon ends which is different than the rest. Do you think that’s a mistake
In looking through some of my Lackawanna and EL color books, it looks like the gray, maroon, and yellow stripes carry around to the end doors on most of the passenger cars, but some may have been painted all maroon after repairs or shopping. The most glaring mistake is that the fuel tank skirts should be black on the PA’s.
nice looking train
Very nice Ben.
Very nice Ben. Now if Lionel's parts dept. is able to sell the observation end, I could use some!
They look great!
Enjoy!
Peter
Could the maroon end specify a special type of car? Parlor car? Bar car?
Enjoy them Ben!
Wow, what a layout! I know this thread is about the train, but yowser...
That is a tremendous layout and smooth trackwork.
Very nice set Ben ! Enjoy !
Thanks , Alex
Jim, Victor, Ben's beautiful PAs are stretching their legs on the NJHR layout in Paterson, NJ. For more of the fantastic layout l search for photos of any of the Trainstock events the club throws for us forumites or the big party they threw for the OGR anniversary a couple of years ago. Or just go to the upcoming Trainstock in April.
Have fun Ben. When I have my drink(s) tonight, I will further ponder the meaning of the maroon end on one car. I just got a new car with a red interior and Sue likes purple lighting with it (you get to select the color lighting you want). Given the color combination, I have now given the car the name BORDELLO. Perhaps that is the meaning of the maroon end.

Wow! Nice set Ben good luck with it!
@bluelinec4 That is one heck of a layout!! Great train and associated passenger cars. Do you have an overview of the track plan that you can share?
“Bordello” - good one, Gerry. Sounds like a snooty, high end wine from Asti!
That is the NJHirailers layout. You can go to our website www.njhirailers.com. We even have web cams. We are there on Wed.

Well, what do you know--I was there for that OGR celebration! I didn't even recognize it in the video's perspective for some reason. Sounds silly, I know--especially after I had taken something like 75 photos of it myself!! Jeesh.
Jim it took me a little bit before I recognized it and I've been to 4 or 5 Trainstocks. That's a testament to how much there is to take in and all the work the members do to kep the layout fresh and ever changing.
You're right, it's a great and dynamic club. Though I still think I'm losing my mind, LOL.
