A question......does anybody carry any inventory of tinplate sets these days?
It seems that it is hard to find stuff. I guess that the preordering concept is reducing supply. Perhaps I am not looking in the right places.

Well, these guys advertise right here on the forum;
And I've seen O gauge tinplate at Charles Ro from time to time. Seems like there's some out there, less so for the really high cost sets.

I know the guys from Side Track - if you can make it to York, they will literally have the whole store there with respect to tinplate sets.

what is so great about sidetrack is they have the pictures on the box with the item #,that way you,know what it is,,,they are great to deal with also !
Yes, Side Track, and if the item is a few years from release, Al Rudman usually has them discounted. His customer service is also second to none. A few years ago I purchased a standard steamer. When I received it the paint was cracked in several places and flaking. He gave me the option to either return for replacement or send back to MTH. I opted to send it back to him and he replaces it with a different color as he had no more of the original item I purchased.
