I go to it each year.  It's a two day weekend show held at the end of April at Shopko Hall in Green Bay, and right across the street from Lambeau Field.  Its very affordable in that it costs something like 5 bucks to park your car, and the fee to get in is only a few bucks (can't remember), with reduced rates for children and seniors if I remember correctly.

Lots of area clubs attend from the Wisconsin area and the Midwest which may include Chicago and the Twin Cities sometimes.  It's a lot of fun checking out all the modular layouts that are brought in which are featured in every scale Z, N, HO, S, O, G, and the Tinplate.  I always enjoy striking up conversations with the club members who are really nice and willing to answer most any questions you may have.

Many train dealers have booths with tables ranging from the brick and mortar train shop dealers, including regular operators/collectors who sell used trains and parts.  Some historical societies have booths looking for new members.   I always up my renewal to the Milwaukee Road Historical Society which puts out a terrific quarterly magazine.  The Soo and CNW historical groups also attend.

The folks at Kalmbach publishing have a booth and make the drive up from the Milwaukee area.  There are also some dealers with the train apparel, hats, coffee cups, and things to hang on the train room wall too.

The National Railroad Museum in Green Bay is not too far at all, and in fact they have a booth at the show.  If you do make the trip to the Titletown train show, be sure to visit the National Railroad Museum because they have one of the 8 surviving Union Pacific Big Boys #4017 which is kept indoors for protection from the harsh Wisconsin elements.

My Lionel dealer from Milwaukee exhibits, I look forward to that.  It's a good train show, well organized which is very nice for our area.  I always find some goodies there that I come home with.  Good family friendly fun.

You must mean Sommerfelds!  My favorite hobby shop to visit when work brings me to Milwaukee.

A great place to eat while there is Titletown Brewery, which is located in the old C&NW Rwy station.  It's pretty close to Lambeau and the show.  I always go for the elk burger!

Yes, you are correct John!,  I place all my Locomotive pre-orders from the catalogs with Sommerfeld's.  If anyone visits the  Milwaukee area, Sommerfeld's is 100% trains with a very large selection front to back.  Its a nice drive to Milwaukee and located right off the Expressway.

I'm planning a visit to Sommerfeld's in the next few days to pick up a set of Milwaukee Road EF-3's by MTH, and pair of Soo Line SD60m's, and some other items I preordered.  My father just had a pacemaker put in him over the holiday's.  Then it got 10 degrees below zero here in Wisconsin and the last thing I wanted was to have car trouble on the side of the freeway in the freezing cold with a couple grand of trains in the back seat.

The Titletown Brewery is a another must stop for those visiting Green Bay.  Really glad that historic depot was repurposed while retaining the charm its railroading history.  Its still there in Downtown Green Bay.  When Lambeau Field was renovated a statue of a wide receiver was moved from the old Green Bay Packer Hall of Fame and it now is displayed in front of Titletown Brewery.  Its numbered for Donald Drivers's #88.

Driving past the old depot in Green Bay make me of the days when the Packer and Bears actually traveled by train to play each other.  Its way before my time!

Titletown Train Show is definitely worth the trip if you want a spring show and a visit to the National Railroad Museum.

If you’re OK with a winter show in Wisconsin, consider Mad City Model Railroad Show and Sale, Feb. 17-18 in Madison. It’s a big show at the Alliant Energy Center. Sommerfeld’s also sets up there.

Neither match Train Fest in November, however.
