What adapter should I use to plug into the Auxillary power port to power the TIU as I update? I have all the cables I need to connect it to the computer including the jumper cable. But not sure what I need to plug in to the electrical outlet on the wall to power the TIU UNIT. Do not want to damage it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If this is a REV L TIU and you are using a USB Cable you do not need to power the TIU to just update it and the remote.  The USB cable provides power.   Also, if you have a small Transformer, you can just power FIX 1 normally for other TIU.  You do not have to use the AUX power input.   G

From The DCS Companion 3rd Edition, page 96:

Another source of power for the TIU's Aux. Power port is the Radio Shack #273-331 Enercell™ Switchable 18/24VAC 1 AMP Power Adapter with #273-344 Enercell™ Adaptaplug™ M. It should be used on the 18 volt setting. However, since this power supply is rated for only 1.0 amp, it should be used only to power a TIU to which AIUs are not connected.

This and a whole lot more is all inThe DCS Companion 3rd Edition", available for purchase  from many fine OGR advertisers and forum sponsors, or as an eBook.

If you have an old adapter lying around the house, 12-18 volts output, AC or DC, of 500 milliamp (1/2 amp) or more capacity, try that.  That's what I carry for upgrading TIUs at my house and at York.

For the 2 TIUs on my layout, each has the R-S 273-331 Barry describes.  One of the TIUs has 3 AIUs feeding off it, and I have had no problems.  BUT, I do not use any accessory terminals set to hold power on, so I do not have a lot of relay coil power being drawn.
