Gentlemen,

My layout is FasTrack controlled by DCS, I am hearing great things about the FasTrack Command Control Switches.  Are these Command Control swithces completely wireless remote control?  If so will I need a complete TMCC Lionel set up to run them.  What will I need to invest in to be able to run them.  Also will they work in a dual manner if I want to add some switch controllers on certain parts of my FasTrack layout.

They are completely self-contained, just connect them to the track and start running.  Yes, they also come with wired controllers, they work just like the standard remote switches in that case.

You will need at least a TMCC Command Base and CAB1 at a minimum to run them, you can't operate them with the DCS remote.

I'd probably look at the Legacy Lite system, aka the CAB-1L/BASE-1L set.

No.

You only need the ASC if you want to make plain old remote control non-TMCC switches command controllable via the remote.

The Command Fastrack switches have been a great addition for our carpet layouts. As Nicole mentioned, we remove the wired controllers altogether for a clean set-up. Now hoping that Lionel rounds out the offerings with a command version of the uncoupler and operating track sections (assuming that they fix the ongoing quality issues with those pieces at the same time)

Ladies & Gentlemen,

Got to say I have run DCS on FasTrack for quite some time now, however MTH did not produce the Command Control type Switches I wanted and when Lionel came out with the FasTrack CC switches it spurred me on to adding Legacy with the rechargable hand held remote to my DCS. Further I am in the processs of up grading my DCS hand held remote, to make it rechargable also.  Now that I know the CC 072 FasTrack WYE switches will accommodate my Tin Plate Trains, I will eliminate all switch wiring form my new layouts, by using all FasTrack CC switches,  to me this is a big time advancement in our Hobby.  Pine Tree Junction these CC switches are the cooliest thing to happen in our Hobby in many many years, definitely pick up a couple and test them out for yourself.
