I found a brass clam shell bucket that I thought other TMCC crane car owner might find interesting.  It is made by Overland and works great with the crane!  I replaced the black chord that came with it with a chain.  I needed a very tiny chain to thread into the bucket to control the closing action.  My wife generously donated a thin gold chain that worked great.  Being brass it is heavy enough to load coal or rocks but what really surprised me is that it is great for loading logs.  As you can see the detail is awesome.

John,

I had to dig out my old postal scale.  Here's what I got:

  • The empty bucket is 1 to 1.5 oz
  • The bucket with the largest MTH log is 1.5 to 2 oz

The bucket is heavy enough to make it easy to maneuver but light enough so you can pick up just about anything within reason.

Hope this helps.

Tom
