Well, that looks like overkill for the whisker tracks, but it should work.  I actually am controlling all the whisker tracks with some Lionel SC2 boxes so I can switch them from the TMCC or Legacy remotes.  I built a custom LED light panel that will be in a small house to show which tracks are energized.  This will indicate which of the sixteen whisker tracks have power.

The switch is designed and rated for DC, while our trains are AC.  There are no AC ratings published.  It's common for parts to have different ratings for AC and DC voltages.   You may have some issues with the LEDs running on AC instead of DC and the built-in polarity protection in the panel.  The voltage issue can be worked around by using these switches to control five relays that handle the AC voltages and appropriate current for each track.  It can be done but that probably was not what you had in mind.  This switch panel is very nice looking but it's not a slam-dunk perfect solution.
