Does anyone model heritage/tourist railways? I assembled a train from a local tourist railroad - Wilmington & Western.

When people ask why I have a British A4 or European beer cars on my layout, I tell them it's a heritage railway.
The railroad created an open air passenger car. The windows were enlarged so passenger could face outward to view the landscape. Anyone have suggestions to cleanly cut the windows from a heavyweight car. Tried using a disc on a Dremel but the cut was rough and the plastic melted.
Dremel makes a diamond encrusted metal wheel for ceramic tile, I have used one in the past with some success. It is a little pricey, but may work better than the stock cut off wheels.
