The variety stores in flea markets sell them for a dollar each. I found mine where they have tools.
They're also available at advance auto, etc... for picking off gaskets and o-rings.
My neighborhood hardware has then is all different shapes for $1.25 ea. They sure come in handy. They also have forceps for 1.75 ea.
Same idea, but I like to use very small screw drivers to assist in changing traction tires.
They are already in my hobby tool box.
I bought something very similar at Harbor Freight retail store. Don't think I paid more than $3. Just used it on my Lionel Berk the other night. Really makes the job much easier.

Your dentist breaks picks??? Ouch! I think I'd look for a different dentist
I've been using something like dental tools for years..My came from Snap-On some 30+ years ago. One thing for sure dental tools are MUCH cheaper.LOL!!
