When you get into saying you have a hobby addiction, well, that's just plain silly.

Lee,

We're grown adults, at least I hope so. We accept the personal responsibility when the CC bill arrives. When it destroys the home and social life then it becomes an,"Addiction". At that time a intervention is called for.

IMHO Most forum members are looking for that escape from reality. Each one of us has that inner need. Some more than others. It's in no way, shape or form an, "Addiction".

Pappy,

I am able to pay for my purchases and not destroy the home life any, so I guess I don't have an addiction like you say.

Also I can now purchase almost anything I want with my credit card as I now have sufficient funds(due to an untimely death in the family and inheritance) to pay it off every month.

I was never sure when my addiction with trains started until it was revealed to me about two years ago. I was spending a night at my uncle's home in Wrightsville, a few miles from York, when I was attending the York show. He pulled 2 old photos out that he took when he was 16 that I attached below (notice my art work and the train on my birthday cake). The other 2 photos are of my first layout I built when I was 14. Most everything on the layout our neighbor was putting out for the garbage as my dad was getting home from work. Thank God the neighbor asked if he would be interested in some toys for his kids. What perfect timing.
