Often, someone posts photos from the site of a guy who makes 1/24th scale dioramas from the '50's & 60's so real that one thinks they are real. I believe his name is Michael Paul Smith. If that is not the one, that 65 year old Mr. Smith, does the same thing. Quite the artist.

Readers of Car & Driver were treated to a review of Mr. Smith's work in the Feb 2016 issue via an article by John Phillips, who was quite taken by the work.

I apologize if those pictures and posts of the work have appeared recently (due to time and health constraints, I have not been on here as often as I was over the past 10 years) and I won't bother posting them or the link, in the event that they have. But the regular users on  here know if they have appeared, and if they have not, perhaps they would post some here to let new people know what can be done.

These are very well done. However, one should note that they are all dioramas that are shot outside. Also, the large size makes it easier to photograph in terms of depth of field. Several years ago Lionel hired him to create and shoot dioramas using Lionel trains. In my opinion, these were not very good. He wasn't able to successfully translate his artistry to a smaller scale.
