waitimg on Barry’s book and the rf blockers. I am running trains today and it is going well, run em about an hour. So I’m the last 10 minute I really don’t mess with the remote. I roll crescent down to O and shut down. I click engine to scroll to chessie, I go to roll it down and  it’s doesnt respond I go up to 20, I then click direction. I click emergency stop and it works.  I know it is all wired correct. Powered by z4000. This might be explained in Barry’s book and I’m waiting patient and after fixing everything still let down a bit. I was thinking same numbers in tiu but one clearly says southern and other says chessie.so just wondering

You were running 2 trains. Were they running on the same loop of track ?  If you have 2 separate  loops they are running on. Are they on 2 different TIU channels ?  If they are. What is the track signal for each one. Try using the same engine for the test. How large is the layout your running on ?

Solving this is pretty much a process of elimination. If you find the track signal is the culprit and you have separate loops on 2 channels. Start by switching the 2 channels on the TIU and test again. Eventually you will hit on the problem.
