With only 11 hours to go before the start of Trainfest 2015 I wanted to get this place holder ready. I'll start posting photos tomorrow and welcome everyone with photos of the event to post here and share their Trainfest acquisitions, comments, stories, etc.

Happy Trainfest weekend!!!

Here we go! Trainfest is another huge success!! We had a great time there today seeing all the great businesses and people from the O gauge world. These photos aren't the best since they are from my phone, but I still thought it would be fun to share.

As I'm posting this I'm watching the amazing Great Layout Adventures Volume 11 that we picked up today. The quality of this DVD and the layouts are fantastic!!

bigtruckpete,

Thanks for posting the photos. I was there on Saturday and the number of people in attendance was fantastic. You did a great job of catching the feel of the show.  I enjoyed seeing the new items from vendors and the layouts from the clubs.  I don't see any photos from the second building - which mainly had layouts.

Thanks again,

Northwoods Flyer

Another outstanding Trainfest that just keeps getting better every year!  Nice pictures that does a great job of capturing the feel of the show.  We spent about 4 1/2 hours there and I feel like I only saw half of it.  Never made it to Scenery Express and didn't see half the layouts.  Did spend quality time talking to the folks at MTH, Lionel, Kalmbach, Atlas, and others.  Enjoyed a short talk with Rich Melvin at the OGR booth and was impressed with their new video.  Woodland Scenics was awesome as usual.

Pete,

Thanks for the pics.  Reminds me of the great times I had at Train Fest from 1999 - 2002.  I was managing construction at Great Lakes then, and met fellow O Gaugers in Antioch.  We formed the North Central O Gauge Train club, went to Milwaukee many times, always made it to Train Fest.  Again, thanks for the pics and hope all enjoy Train Fest, wish I were there.

Jesse

Wow!! I never knew!

In addition to all the GREAT stuff going on .... look at all the folks there! Older folks, young parents, kids of ALL ages, pregnant moms, etc.    Fantastic!  Its one of the reasons I love to play with trains.

Is York like that?

I never go to "train shows." But, next year I'll be there for sure. My employer has business in Oshkosh WI ... I'll arrange it.

Thanks for the photos, Pete!

Just a few more photos of some of my great finds that had to come home with me from Trainfest!

1. OGR's latest video - this is a must have. The layouts and the video production are out of this world!!

2.Scenic Express - police officers and thug

3. Model Tech Studios - homeless beggar sitting

4. Model Tech Studios - detail parts for buildings, gas meters, water hose, electric boxes and fire alarms. Man, this guy makes some great parts that really make a layout scene jump at you!!

Greg,

You're welcome! Yes, I only have photos from the main building's floor. I've been traveling a lot for work so my wife more than earned a day off so I took our boys (5 and 2) up to Milwaukee from the Chicago area for the show.

Anytime Bill! If you get them loaded later feel free to post 'em here!

Jesse, Glad you enjoyed them. When you say "Great Lakes" I assume U.S. Navy? If so, my great uncle managed construction there during the major expansion during WWII.
