My 24 yo daughter visited the Kate Spade store at the mall Sunday afternoon and sent me this pic. Now, a high end designer is jumping on the "train" bandwagon.
The purse is over $100 and the handbag is a few hundred.........and that's for no command control, not even a can motor!

There was a thread a while back with a train pocketbook for 10K. Looks like trains are the fashion "in thing".
I showed this photo to Elizabeth (she likes trains) but in her opinion they are hideous. She is not a buyer apparently.

Kinda in a similar note.......My daughter and I are planning a cross country train trip via the Amtrak Cardinal, Southwest Chief and the California Coastliner.
When she put on her online blog about planning the trip it somewhat exploded with folks asking about train travel or others adding how it's the only way to travel. Even Amtrak caught wind of it and commented. Is train travel about to become 'IN'???
With air travel uncomfortable, costly, a hassle and just no fun......maybe train travel will become the thing to do.
After this fashion trend FLOPS, there might be a market for the handbag as a York tote!!!
....yup...sad thang about that-there purse is, you know raaat now some honery polecat's a-gittin' ready to stick up that purse for whutever-the-heck's in the change compartment...

I have often heared people say.If you want to get from here to there fast.The plain is the way to go.But if you want to see this country take the train.
