There have been plenty of resources here for acquiring trains and automobiles. What about airplanes? DieCast direct has plenty but I am looking for one of those robotic drones we use in the middle east. Anybody know of a source for those?

I believe that if you telephone this company on (703) 482-0623, they may be able to help you.
Amazon was selling a 1:87 diecast model by Maisto, but I've heard they've been selling them out quickly. I don't know of a diecast source in 1:48, etc.
I always check Amazon first, and they seldom disappoint. Even the right scale - 1:48

If you go to Amazon's toys and games section and search it for "Drone" they have many more although most are in different scales (a nice looking Italeri 1/72, 1/87, 1/97, etc). All look like drones, and since they come in all sizes, I guess might be good candidates, too.
I have been amazed by what Amazon has grown into over the years, and now, anytime I want to buy anything (except a car, etc.) I check Amazon first. I am astonished by what they offer.
There have been a few 1/48 Drone kits.....many are not in production right now but can be found. Check ebay now and then and they will show up.
Thanks again one and all. I expect to see more of these models and kits as drones make more news. Peace through superior fire power!
Here's one off of the bay-
Lucky model or great models are two other sources for good prices...I'd be guessing that you'd want the 1/48th scale size.
